Description
This year’s Midyear Meeting theme, “Civility and the Rule of Law,” promises a day filled with enriching subject matter and valuable insights. We’re thrilled to have an outstanding lineup of speakers, including David Grenardo, professor and associate director of the Holloran Center for Ethical Leadership in the Professions, who will discuss the importance of lawyer conduct and make a case for mandatory civility. He’ll be joined by other esteemed experts, such as Mark Lanterman from Computer Forensic Services, who will speak on cybersecurity, AI, and deepfakes, and Professor Sonu Bedi from Dartmouth College, who will talk about the beauty of disagreement within the US Constitution.
There will also be a panel discussion moderated by NHBA President Kate Mahan on a lawyer’s role in protecting the rule of law, civil discourse, and the courts featuring Megan Carpenter, dean of UNH Law, Jeremy Fogel, executive director of the Berkeley Judicial Institute, and Mary Smith, immediate past president of the ABA.
This year’s award recipients will be announced at a future date.
