Description

This session will discuss adoption and surrogacy in NH and your questions surrounding such. There will be discussion surrounding the worries of LGBTQ+ families in the wake of the election and how practitioners can assist families who are concerned. In addition, Attorney Hanisco has seen an uptick in couples considering divorcing wanting to do confirmatory adoptions. She will cover confirmatory adoption vs parentage petition process as well. This meeting will qualify for CLE Credits. This meeting will be held virtually and the link will be sent prior to the meeting in the confirmation email.

Attorney Christine M. Hanisco Life Stages Law, PLLC

Christine M. Hanisco is the Founder of Life Stages Law, PLLC, a virtual, boutique law firm providing adoption and assisted reproductive technology (ART) legal services in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and estate planning to New Hampshire clients. Chrissy founded Life Stages Law in February 2024 after over 8 years at The Stein Law Firm in Concord, NH, and after nearly 12 years as a NH Public Defender. She earned her J.D. from New York Law School in 2000 and her undergraduate degree from Saint Anselm College in 1993. She has co-written and advocated for passage of legislation to benefit all NH residents who are building their families through adoption and ART. Chrissy currently serves as a Governor-At-Large for the NH Bar Association, and also is an active member of the NH Women’s Bar Association, the NHBA’s Family Law Section, the ABA’s Assisted Reproductive Technology Committee, and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy and is the former Chair of its Grievance Committee. Since June 2017, she has served on the Board of Directors for AllPaths Family Building (FKA Resolve New England) and currently serves as the organization’s Vice President and Chair of the Governance Committee.
