Timothy A. Gudas became the clerk of court for the New Hampshire Supreme Court in January 2020, following nine years as the deputy clerk to Eileen Fox. From 1997 to 2011, he practiced civil and appellate litigation at Sulloway & Hollis, PLLC. From 1996 to 1997, Tim served as a law clerk to the late Associate Justice Sherman D. Horton, Jr. of the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He earned his BA from Dartmouth College in 1989 and his JD from Boston College Law School in 1994. Tim is a member of the National Conference of Appellate Court Clerks (NCACC), the NHBA’s Committee on Cooperation with the Courts and the NHBA’s Appellate Law Section. 10/24

Christopher M. Johnson is the chief appellate defender of the NH Public Defender’s Office in Concord, NH. He earned his B.A. from Carleton College in 1989 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1994. Between 2001 and 2012, Chris held a joint appointment as a professor at the Franklin Pierce Law Center, and with the NH Public Defender in his current position. Since 2012, he has been working only with the NH Public Defender. Between 1995 and 2001, Chris was a staff attorney at the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta, GA. From 1994-1995, he was a law clerk at the New Jersey Supreme Court. Chris is a member of the NH Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the NHBA’s Appellate Law Section. He has regularly presented at CLE trainings on criminal law. 10/24
