Description
This year’s DOVE Fall CLE, taking place on October 18th, 2024 from 9AM to 3:30 PM, will be focused on the intricacies and best practices in civil stalking cases. We will begin the day with a presentation by national speaker on stalking prevention & awareness, Debbie Riddle, whose sister was tragically murdered in 2003 by her stalker. Sessions will explore the role of crisis centers in stalking cases, a deep dive into NH RSA 633:3-a and applicable caselaw, stalking petitions and the stranger/acquaintance sexual assault loophole, the use of technology to stalk, and ethical considerations in DOVE cases. Time has been allotted at the end of the day for an optional Q&A roundtable with the presenters. Attendees will receive general and ethics CLE credit, and the seminar will be recorded for those who are not able to attend day-of.
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to accept 2 DOVE cases within the next year.
