Warren B. Rudman United States Courthouse
Description The New Hampshire Bar Association’s Gender Equality Committee (GEC), New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association (NHWBA) and New Hampshire Bar Association’s Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Committee are proud to announce our next After Hours Networking event - Access to Justice: Courtroom Practices and Procedures that fully respect counsel, unrepresented litigants, and staff from all backgrounds and experiences, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M. at the Warren B. Rudman United States Courthouse at 55 Pleasant Street in Concord, New Hampshire.
Join the members of New Hampshire’s judiciary, including from all levels of the New Hampshire Judicial Branch and from the U.S. District Court, for an interactive panel and CLE. This moderated panel event will include judges from across the Granite State, who will share their experiences, address how they have dealt with issues related to DEI and respect for others in the courtroom, and how they expect attorneys to handle these issues, as well. The discussion will also feature a conversation about the ethical rules and expectations related to DEI, respect, and civility in the courtroom.
The event will begin with light refreshments and networking from 4:30-5:00 P.M., before an hour long panel with the judges, and a short questions and answers period. Our event presenters note that while the NHMCLE does not preapprove or accredit CLEs, we believe this event will qualify for continuing education credit, including half an hour of Ethics/Professionalism credit. All attendees must self-determine whether this program is eligible for credit and self-report their attendance.
