The NHBA New Lawyers Committee hosts a few Dinner with a Judge events a year. This is a rare opportunity for new lawyers under 5 years to sit down and have a conversation with a NH judge.

This dinner is with the Hon. David W. Ruoff from the NH Superior Court. It will be held at Hearth Market in Portsmouth, NH on November 29, 2023 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Speakers

Hon. David W. Ruoff NH Superior Court

Hon. David W. Ruoff was sworn in as an associate justice of the NH Superior Court in February, 2016. Before his judicial appointment he was a partner at Howard & Ruoff, PLLC in Manchester, NH and focused his practice on criminal and civil litigation. He earned his B.A. from the University of NH in 1991 and his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1996. Judge Ruoff was the president-elect of the NH Bar Association for the 2015-2016 year until his judicial appointment. He has served on the Professional Conduct Committee, Access to Justice Commission, and the New Hampshire Judicial Council Judge Ruoff formerly served on the federal court's Complex and Major Crimes Panel. He has been adjunct professor at the UNH Franklin Pierce Law School for over 25 years, teaching advanced trial advocacy and evidence. Judge Ruoff is currently the supervisory justice in the Rockingham County Superior Court.
