NH Bar Association Seminar Room, Concord
75 General Minutes, 15 Ethics Minutes
Description
This CLE program is for members of the NHBA Intellectual Property Law and Corporation, Banking & Business Law Sections.
While high profile data breaches and cybersecurity incidents involving large companies such as Anthem, Facebook, Home Depot and Target frequently make headlines, law firms, regardless of size, are increasingly at risk for a cyberattack. Attorneys have an ethical obligation to protect sensitive client information and must stay on top of the changes in technology to ensure that confidential client and firm data remains secure. This presentation will provide attorneys with an introduction to the cybersecurity issues lawyers, law firms and corporate legal departments face and how to manage cybersecurity threats.
This presentation will be conducted by attorney Cameron Shilling, Chair of Privacy and Information Security at McLane Middleton, Professional Association in Manchester.
*We believe this session meets the requirements of NH Supreme Court Rule 53 and may qualify for 60-90 minutes toward the annual NHMCLE requirement.
