This session will be an overview of the different types of injury claims that can be made if a person is injured in a car accident, and the regulations that go along with making each type of injury claim. We will discuss the liability and evidentiary requirements including RSA 265, causation, expert testimony, and loss of earning capacity. An explanation of the difference between uninsured vs. underinsured motorist coverage will be provided, how to determine how much coverage is available, and the steps an attorney must take when their client chooses to use this coverage. How to use medpay to your client’s advantage, and coordinate payment for their care with their health insurance, and bodily injury carrier. What to do with Medicare liens, Medicaid liens, and private health insurance and ERISA Plan liens.
